At Druid Learning HQ we have been busy bringing accessible digital products to the market. Not only have we reached a working prototype of our product but we have been fortunate enough to trial it too.
We have recently completed our first user trial which took place with over 150 second level students. The results validated what we always thought, if students are given the chance to learn in a way that suits them (be it, visually, auditory or text) it will benefit them. Our trial was conducted in partnership with the Dept. of Education Psychology in NUI Maynooth and was supported by an Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher. What we discovered was that students who used our products increased their level of comprehension of topics by over 12%. Importantly, students who used the product saw an increase in test scores by 20% in comparison to those who consumed the same information via text only.
We were lucky enough to recently receive the Enterprise Ireland CSF. With this money we aim to create a commercially viable product and undertake and even larger user trial. The wheels are in motion and thanks to the both the Cube and the support we have received from EI we are well on our way to achieving our goals.
