The first New Frontiers Phase 1 Programme led by IADT Media Cube in partnership with NovaUCD, that commenced in October has now been completed. New Frontiers is the national entrepreneur development programme supported by Enterprise Ireland, serving South Dublin, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and North Wicklow areas. The New Frontiers Phase 1 Programme actively supports entrepreneurs in the initial phases of developing their innovative business ideas by providing a series of facilitator workshops on relevant themed topics. Participants are brought through the different elements of the business plan in order to validate their idea through a series of workshops and are encouraged to continually interrogate their business idea, in order to help them grow and move on to the next stage in their development.
We had two groups enter the programme for our midweek programme and Weekend Bootcamp. Participants came from a variety of sectors including tech, retail, finance, health and online services amongst others. Facilitators that ran the programme are leading experts in their field and took the participants through a comprehensive programme examining every area of their business.
The feedback from this initial phase has been extremely positive and participants have enjoyed subsequent meet-ups and virtual coffees to continue their networking together. By the end of the programme, participants are inspired to develop their ideas further and many will continue on to apply for Phase 2 of the programme. Phase 2 will be run over a 6 month period from March to September to continue to develop their businesses.
Applications are now open and the closing date for phase 2 applications is the 17th of January 2022.
