Adrian Walsh
CheckVentory was based at the Media Cube from 2014-2019 and is now based on Main Street, Blackrock. A former CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Ireland with over twenty years’ experience in the automobile industry, Adrian Walsh recognised the need for banks, vehicle manufacturers and car dealerships to adopt a digital platform for stock auditing purposes. Adrian founded the fintech start-up company CheckVentory, to offer a secure and easy to use digital vehicle inventory checking system which is utilised by banks, distributors and retail dealerships.

The technical solution offered by CheckVentory comprises of a cloud-based inventory platform and a smartphone app to collect the essential data to validate their stock inventory and reducing the financial risks.
Adrian participated in New Frontiers 4 programme in 2013 at the Media Cube, IADT and the potential of CheckVentory was quickly recognised. In 2014, CheckVentory received Competitive Start Funding from Enterprise Ireland and in 2015, CheckVentory claimed the top prize “Most Investible Start-up” at the Bolton Trust Awards with a prize cheque of €10,000 – the first of many awards!
CheckVentory’s client list now many of the world’s leading manufacturing and Banking brands across 3 continents, including RCI Banque, Subaru, Auto1, Mercedes, Renault, Hitachi, Volkswagen to name a few.
In late 2018 CheckVentory developed a vehicle appraisal and valuation platform for dealer groups to standardise the way they purchase their vehicle inventory. While already a big hit with customers, during the lockdown period of Q2 2020. CheckVentory Dealer customers were amongst the very few dealerships that were still able to trade during the height of the COVID 19 crisis.
The Media Cube was CheckVentory HQ from 2013-2019, making the transition from ‘New Frontiers’ participant to a fully-fledged fintech company. The company is still based locally in Blackrock.
Adrian was a popular member of the Media Cube community and generously shared his time and expertise with other members of the start-up network. Adrian regularly returns to the Media Cube to contribute to incoming New Frontiers participants and catch up with many of the incumbent companies.
