Her project was also the first for-profit business to be accepted into Social Entrepreneurs Ireland and was a catalyst for SEI widening their remit to include for-profit projects that have significant social impact.  Emma now serves on the SEI selection panel, and mentors up and coming SEI program participants pro bono.

The Eating Freely™ program is now a licensed program being rolled out internationally to both clients and health professionals wishing to specialise in emotional eating and binge eating disorder. Eating Freely™ is available to clients as an online self-directed program, a one-to-one and group program delivered through the international Eating Freely™ network of practitioners, and in 2022 will be available as a Residential Retreat program.

Opal Success

Opal Success was started as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.  As the world shut down, all live training events had to be cancelled, and Emma’s specialist training in emotional and binge eating had to pivot online.  Prior to 2020, the network of trained ‘Eating Freely’ professionals extended only to Ireland and the UK.  Thanks to pivoting online, Opal Success was born, and now delivers this training internationally – trainees are now regularly based in the USA and recently as far afield as Singapore.

Opal Success is the successful combination of experience in developing a CPD approved advanced training out of a specialist client program, and pivoting to delivering training online, internationally.

Opal Success is now partnering with other subject matter experts to develop new CPD approved training programs. The second program in Self-Compassion Coaching training has just launched (July 2021), and in development are programs in Advanced Coaching Skills,  Online Marketing and Selling for Health Professionals, Specialist Training in Restrictive Eating Disorders and Menopause Coach training.

Emma is an experienced speaker, presenter and trainer, and has spoken at mental health and eating disorder specific conferences here and abroad, most notably the joint American and Australian Counselling Associations Conference in Brisbane in 2019.

Emma and her team are now training other health professionals around the world to work in specialist areas with a mission to change 250,000 lives in the next three years. Opal’s rich and rigorous training is CPD and CEU approved in Ireland, the UK, the USA and Australia.
